Hi, I’m Dr. Sneha Sharma.

I’m a professor of Media Communication, an author, TEDx speaker, storyteller, and, above all, an endlessly curious learner.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by stories; not just the ones we read in books, but the ones we tell in classrooms, carry through our experiences, and use to make sense of the world.

Lately, that curiosity has led me to one question:

How can storytelling make learning more human, reflective, and meaningful in the age of AI?

This blog is my thinking space.

Here, you’ll find reflections on storytelling, creative writing, books that have stayed with me, higher education, communication, and the changing relationship between humans and technology. Sometimes I’ll unpack a research idea. Sometimes I’ll share a classroom experience. Other times, it may simply be a children’s book, a novel, or an everyday conversation that sparks a new way of looking at learning.

I’ve had the privilege of teaching students in India and abroad, writing for publications including The Hindu, The Times of India, Women’s Web, Woman’s Era, SheThePeople, and The Children’s Magazine, authoring the children’s book Grandma in the Stars, and directing the award-winning documentary Adrashya Nari. Each of these experiences has strengthened my belief that communication is about far more than exchanging information—it is about helping people create meaning.

I don’t claim to have all the answers. This blog is where I think aloud, connect ideas across books, classrooms, research, and everyday life, and invite others into that conversation.
